Lavender escape is a annexe room with patio doors looking on to garden with patio area for guests. The room was opened in May 2021, is has en suite toilet and shower facility. The bed is a super king divan and as such can be separated for those arriving with family or a friend. The room has tea and coffee making facility's and a small bar fridge and a flat screen TV with various channels. We provide a welcoming pack to assist your first morning, milk cereals etc. There are two small put up tables to eat from. A more substantial breakfast can be had at the Longstone Hotel two minutes walk away, they serve between 08.00 and 09.30 but you must reserve. Towels and toiletries are provided. The drive to the house is for guests and free of charge.
At Lavenderescape we hope you relax and enjoy your stay, whether it's walking, diving or golfing relax and enjoy your stay we will help however we can to make you feel at home.
North Sunderland is away from the hustle and bustle of the main village but only a ten minute walk into the center. The Longstone hotel with its beer garden is a two minute walk. Bamburgh Castle is 3 miles away and open to visitors, the castle holds events on its open areas such as large screen movies,take a picnic and enjoy,book via castle site Summer 21 includes Queens Bohemian Rhapsody and Dirty dancing.Raiders of the lost ark 5 has just finished shooting in the castle. The ancient cobbled town of Alnwick lies 15 miles away,it has another superb castle that was used in Harry potter movies, visitors are welcome to tour it. The castle has below it spectacular gardens and waterfall with treetop resteraunt, visitors pay to enter gardens. Rothbury lies some 30 miles away and Cragside house and gardens is well worth a visit, it is part of the National trust and first house in the world to be lit up by electricity,research its history. Visit Beadnal bay for a more sheltered walk,Beadnel has 2 pubs with beer gardens and theres some live music at weekends at the Craster arms. Newton by the Sea is my favourite bay with its sandy shore and sheltered Swiming, A nice bar also. Enjoy
