We moved here in 2024 and run the place ourselves. We are keen walkers (and runner) and cyclists and have a keen interest in the great outdoors.

Kington Accommodation used to be a cottage hospital complete with wards, operating theatre and a morgue. It then became a Youth Hostel. It still retains some of the hostel features such as a large communal kitchen available for guests to use and a large communal lounge. There is secure bicycle storage and a room for wet muddy boots.

Kington is at the heart of walking country. Long distance paths such as Offa's dyke path and Mortimer's trail converge here. Kington itself is a charming market town with independent shops, cafes and pubs. Hergest Croft gardens are a mile away and worth a visit. Kington has its own museum with lots of local history and interest.
