Kidwelly Glamping is a small family run campsite based on a working farm, Penlan Isaf. There are two luxury safari tents, Red Kite and Merlin, where you will find all you need for a fabulous glamping stay. They have electricity and hot and cold water. Each tent has two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and one with bunk beds with quality bed linen and extra blankets. There is a well-equipped kitchen area with a sink, an electric hob, fridge, kettle and toaster. The living area has comfy settees, a table and chairs and a cosy wood burning stove. The tents have their own bathrooms with a toilet, sink and shower. Towels are provided. Sit outside on the decking, relax and enjoy the fabulous views of the countryside and nearby coastline. Stargaze at night at the unpolluted skies of West Wales. There is a children's play area in the farmyard with swings, slide, trampoline and ride on tractors and buggies and a brook alongside the tents where they can safely play. There are washing and drying facilities available. Red Kite has a wood-fired hot tub. You can have a breakfast hamper delivered to your tent or book a full Welsh breakfast in the farmhouse!

Kidwelly glamping is the perfect place to explore Carmarthenshire's many attractions. There are walks from the farmyard, including a child-friendly 20 minute walk down the track, through the wood, across the steam and down into the ancient town of Kidwelly where the magnificent castle dominates the skyline. Cycle or walk along the Millennium Coastal path and enjoy breathtaking views of the estuary.

We are centrally located for South West Wales. Spoilt for choice for beaches, we have Cefn Sidan on our doorstep, with Tenby and the Gower peninsular within easy distance. Local gardens include the National Botanical Gardens and Aberglasney house and gardens. We have numerous castles in the area with Kidwelly, Carreg Cennen , Llansteffan and Dinefwr castle /Newton House being our favourites. Pembrey Country Park, 4 miles away, has a dry ski slope, riding facilities, adventure playgrounds and a 7 mile stretch of sandy beach. It is the start of the Millennium coastal path, fantastic for cycling and walking. There are also walks and bridle paths from the farm. We are within easy distance of the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire National Parks. There are excellent local pubs providing quality food as well as restaurants in and around Carmarthen.
