Our two-storey townhouse is set in a converted former courthouse. The attractively furnished bedrooms and family bathroom are located on the ground floor and the living accommodation is on the first floor. The three bedrooms all lead off from the hallway and each provides excellent storage for your belongings. There is a double bedroom with a generous walk-in wardrobe, dressing table and an en-suite rainfall shower and WC, a large king-size bedroom with a dressing table and Smart TV, and a further good sized twin bedroom. In the spacious family bathroom, there is a WC, a bath and shower. Upstairs, you will discover the sociable heart of the house in the open-plan lounge and dining area where windows on three sides bring in lots of natural light. The dining area allows everyone to sit down for memorable meals together. There is a separate WC off the lounge. Head into the bright, fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, and a washer/dryer. Outside, there is outdoor seating with tables shared with the sister property Judge next door. There is on-site parking for two cars, plus plenty of additional free parking spaces nearby.

The village is an ideal place to stay in with Durham City only a 15-minute drive and Newcastle a 30 minute drive. Enjoy walking and cycling trails from the doorstep, including the Lanchester Valley Path while the North Pennines AONB (29 miles) offers picturesque moorland trails. Beamish Living Museum of the North (7 miles) provides a memorable day out, while in Durham you can wander through cobbled streets for shopping and lunch, visit the majestic cathedral and see the fabulous Kynren show in the summer months. Newcastle offers exciting nightlife, museums, shopping, Sage Gateshead’s concert venue, the quay, and boat trips on the River Tyne.
