There is a great local pub less than half a mile (5-minutes walk) from the property. Wander down to the Talyllyn Railway Station situated in Abergynolwyn and take the heritage steam trains in to Tywyn. From here you could take a walk on the beach, and on a nice day, tides and energy permitting, can even walk the 4 or so miles from Tywyn Beach to Aberdyfi Beach.
