Offering the largest collection of cottages in the Coniston area, The Coppermines Lakes Cottages are the local experts. Independent Agents, locally owned, managed and staffed since 1982. The business was originally developed from the humble restorations of the historic Coppermines buildings, situated in the Coniston Coppermines Valley by Philip Johnston and his family who still own our business today, making us one of the last independent agencies here in the Lake District. Over the years we have significantly grown to now offer over 90 hand-picked, unique, self-catering Lake District cottages (many pet-friendly), all of which are situated within the UNESCO World Heritage boundary.

Fishing, climbing, pony trekking & many other outdoor pursuits are available within easy motoring distance - so there is no excuse not to take advantage of this opportunity to really get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Grange cottage is also a stone's throw away from attractions such as The Lakes Aquarium, Haverthwaite Railway and Lakeland Motor Museum, perfect for families and friends looking to explore the Lakes area.

A favourite for families looking to explore, nearby attractions include Windermere Lake Cruises, the Aquarium of the Lakes, the Lakeland Motor Museum, the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway & Fell Foot Park.
