    I loved the location and surroundings. The self-contained unit was excellent and the hosts provided generous staples making breakfast very easy. The hosts also provided personal time including an enjoyable walk with their dogs!

Darach Brae is set in its own100 acres & 180m above sea level. A beautiful & interesting landscape including ancient pine & birch trees, peat bog, heather & grassland. There are red & roe deer, red squirrels, red kites & buzzards. It is not unusual to open your curtains in the morning & see the Monarch of the Glen grazing outside. There are also geese & sheep here on occasions. We have mountain views &, at times, the most glorious sunsets. It is a real secluded retreat & a place for escaping the hustle & bustle of normal life. The accommodation has its own parking & front door. There is a lobby, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle, grill and toaster, bedroom & en-suite. We will supply tea & coffee, variety of cereals & preserves & also bread & milk of your choice (IF ordered by you at least 3 days in advance of your stay) to give you a few days breakfasts. We are well placed to visit stunning Glen Affric & many other iconic places including Loch Ness. We are also not far from the North Coast 500 route. We are far enough away from 'civilisation' & the noise of traffic to be a relaxing getaway but close to Beauly itself with its shops and eateries. Once visited never forgotten. Your own transport is an absolute must! Please note our farm road is steep but perfectly driveable for all but low sports cars. Please be aware Darach Brae is located in a wild environment so animals will be grazing around the property at times.
Nick and Lyndsey are looking forward to welcoming guests to their home. Having previously done a little B & B we have recently opened up our self catering unit to visitors after understanding that people are sometimes more comfortable with their own holiday space and freedom to come and go as they please without any time restrictions. We are only open from May to September when hopefully the weather is warm and the days are long. We will greet you on arrival and say goodbye when you leave as well as being available to chat about where we live if required.
