Meet the host - Shwmae (hello)! I’m Wayne, and I’m the proud owner of 2 Clydach Cottages! Having grown up near Pontnewydd, I have a wealth of knowledge of the area and am eager to answer any questions you may have or make recommendations! From the moment you book, I will be with you every step of the way when needed to help you in any way I can to have the getaway of a lifetime - as it is means everything to us that your stay is everything you’re hoping for and more! About the area - Well, where do we start? Pontnewydd is an idyllic Welsh village nestled amongst some of Wales’ best attractions! Where will your visit take you? Will you explore Pembrey Country Park (either on horseback or on foot)? Or take the family for a day at one of the many nearby beaches? Or even try your hand at golf with lessons at one of our three local clubs? Perhaps you’d rather treat yourself to a spa day at Machynys followed by a day at the races at Ffos Las! Or maybe you’d like enjoy the unique sense of peace and tranquility from the cottage and recharge on a truly relaxing break. As well as being a truly beautiful area itself, it is also a gateway to other neighbouring areas such as the world-renowned Gower Penninsula (an AAONB) or the breathtaking area of Pembrokeshire. Furthermore, we are lucky enough to have the ancient market town of Camarthen right on our doorstep! From a day at the shops, to a great nightlife atmosphere to all kinds of cuisine, our neighbouring town is full of endless opportunities for a great day (or night) out!
