A charming cottage style terraced property with wood beams dating from the late 18th century. It has spent some part of its early life as two high street shops with a remnant attractive bay window which adds character to the exterior. The property is also distinguished by the hanging baskets that have won local awards and brighten this part of the high street. There is also a very noticeable link with a local phenomenon known worldwide; the mysterious crop circles that appear every year in the surrounding area
The feeling of a home with relaxed atmosphere. Sadie is passionate about the local area as this is where she has lived her whole life and is delighted to provide knowledge and even the occasional guided tour. She has a love for the Crop Circles which will not be a surprise to you when you visit; there are various framed pictures throughout the Guest House along with photographic books for your enjoyment.
Situated in the centre of the village with a modern supermarket, cafes, hairdressers and barber shops within a few minutes walk. There is a pleasant documented walk around Pewsey taking in notable sites and a visit to the Pewsey Heritage Museum. We have a railway station less than 10 minutes walk from the B&B which links to London and the South West; it also offers Train spotting opportunities for the youngsters! The local area boasts a variety of historical and archeological sites of great significance such as Avebury stone circle and henge, the legendary Stonehenge, West Kennet longbarrow, Silbury hill, Salisbury Cathedral; all within 45 minutes drive. The village sits within Pewsey Vale which is surrounded by beautiful chalk hill landscape and white horse hill figures. Alternatively there is the Kennet & Avon canal running past Pewsey and just a 20 minute walk from the door; a great place for a leisurely stroll surrounded by wildlife and canal boats.
