We have a cosy 2-bedroom semi-detached cottage in the heart of the small award-winning village of Elham, nestling in the beautiful Elham Valley, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our home provides cosy two bedroom accommodation, with a traditional cottage feel; it is a place where you can relax and put your feet up - just as we like it (as do our former guests). There is a lovely sunny garden and a recently built contemporary garden room and patio; a lovely place to chill out or work in both summer and winter, with great views out over fields at the rear and the village and church spire to the front. The garden room has WiFi and a radio/CD with Bluetooth for your entertainment. It has a small area to make refreshments with fridge, microwave and coffee and tea making facilities. The kitchen is small but well equipped if you are keen on cooking . The bathroom/WC is off the kitchen. There is also a conservatory with views up the gently sloping rear garden. Please be aware that there is a small pond if you have young children.

Hi, Pauline and I live in the lovely village of Elham with our two cats. We are both retired professionals and we have a large family living in the area and spend much of our time with them. We both try to keep active, walking in our beautiful surrounding countryside, riding our bikes, and dancing . Pauline also likes to run and swim all year in the sea! (Brr). We both like music and art and visit galleries and theatres whenever possible. We have a lovely garden and an allotment and we both love to cook. We are very involved in village life. We have a motor-home and we like to travel abroad when possible. We will be away during your visit this summer and our daughter will act as your host, ensuring your stay is easy and comfortable.

The village is ideal for walkers wishing to enjoy the rolling countryside that surrounds Elham and the village is lucky to have a shop, tea room and three pubs/restaurants. One is currently being renovated and will be closed until sometime in July. Elham is close to the English Channel with coastal walks, beaches and of course easy access to France via ferries at Dover or the Channel Tunnel which is only 10 minutes away. The cathedral city of Canterbury is a great tourist attraction and the park and ride service makes access easy. Kent has so many places of interest including famous castles, gardens, museums and art galleries. London is only about an hour away by car, train or coach.
