Our Story Beside The Sea was set up in 2009 by us, Richard and Sophie. Originally from Essex, we fell in love with Camber, Rye and the beautiful unspoilt sandy beach over 10 years ago and bought a holiday cottage. It didn’t take us long to realise that we wanted to offer a much more personal service to holiday cottage owners and their guests than we had experienced from other agencies. Rainy days are no bother with a garage games room featuring a pool table, dartboard and table football, an extensive DVD library, a collection of children’s books and toys, and fast Wi-Fi. If the weather is cooperating beautifully, we have equipped Beachcomber for that, as well, with a collection of beach toys (and a windbreak + mallet if the wind picks up). Beachcomber is pet and baby-friendly and occupies an ideal spot in the quiet development of White Sand, just 5 miles from the cobblestoned smugglers’ village of Rye and its collection of restaurants and pubs. If you bring a vehicle, there is dedicated off-road parking at Beachcomber.
