The main house down the road from the lodge is private property. There will be a starter basket of logs left for the wood burner any further logs required will be GBP 5 per bag. The property is located on a working farm. There is open water in the property grounds. There are low ceilings, doors and/or beams within the property. This detached lodge sits in a rural location close to the town of Castle Douglas, a designated ’Food Town’ with many attractions close by.. Living room: With wood burner, Freeview TV and DVD player. Dining room. Kitchen: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Bedroom 1: With king size bed and en-suite with shower and toilet. Bedroom 2: With double bed. Bedroom 3: With double bed (for children) and sloping ceilings. Bathroom: With bath, toilet and heated towel rail. . Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Logs for wood burner provided. Welcome pack. . Garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. BBQ. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: Dogs to be kept on lead at all times. There is an unfenced pond 110 yards from the property.. This delightfully situated, detached holiday lodge is presented to an excellent standard, and situated in a rural location near to a working farm. The village of Springholm has its own shop and pub, but just a short drive away is the food town of Dumfries and Galloway, Castle Douglas. The cottage makes an ideal base for exploring this wonderful area either by car, bike or on foot, and the Mabie Forest mountain bike tracks are close by, whilst the scenic Caerlaverock Estate has a network of paths to enjoy. The cottage is also central for the 7Stanes, and there are several excellent golf courses in the area including the championship course at Southerness. Free WiFi
