Avalon Farmhouse is situated a short drive to many north Cornwall beaches, close to quaint fishing ports and near famous Michelin star restaurants, and is a comfortable rural retreat. Fully equipped 2 storey house, it is spacious with wooden and slate floors downstairs and carpeted upstairs. Great entertaining space, large sofas and a log burner. The South facing garden is great for alfresco dining, entertaining and relaxing. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers, families (with children), and groups.
Ben & Elizabeth both work full time and have three children. We live in a timber cabin within the wider grounds of Avalon Farm and will leave you alone to get on with your holiday in peace, although we are available for emergencies or problems.
The farmhouse is in one of the oldest Hamlets in Cornwall, in a beautiful valley that leads to the Sea, five miles away at Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay. The property is geographically very well located; close to many beaches, bustling fishing ports, market towns and only half an hour from the city of Truro and the south coast of St Austell. It would be challenging to get around using public transport and the best way to explore is by car - either your own car or hire car. We are only four miles from Newquay Cornwall Airport. Unlike many places on route to the coast, the hamlet doesn’t suffer from summer traffic congestion as there is no through road. As such, it is always a quiet and relaxing place, even in the heights of summer. Besides a small green with swing, and a post box, there are no communal facilities.
