Ashburton Court is situated in the heart of the Town just minutes from all amenities and has been our home since March 2019. The property is a Grade II listed Georgian Villa that has since built in 1810 seen many changes over this time, today as new owners we are embarking on a journey as will Ashburton Court to make the property a warm and welcoming place to stay. Many of the original features remain to keep the character whilst offering those modern luxuries we all enjoy. With 6 guest bedrooms and an Apartment, all en-suite and views of the Devon countryside. Our Breakfast Room and Orangery are the heart of the house for guests with a self service of fresh fruits, locally produced breads, various cereals, freshly baked croissants and eggs from our chickens cooked to order.
Ashburton Court is our dream home and whilst you stay here with us we very much hope it will feel the same for you. Suzy is the keen gardener with much of her spare time taken by tending the flower borders, vegetable patch and looking after our 6 egg laying chickens. Chris is more likely to be found pounding the trails of Dartmoor and has taken guests for runs (slowly), walks or even sunset watching, you just have to ask.
Ashburton is known as the 'Gateway to Dartmoor' and the 'Town For All Reasons' and quite rightly so, we are blessed with excellent restaurants and pubs, the famous antiques trail, individual independent shops, tea rooms, artisan baker, a lovely fish and general deli, wine merchant and ice cream parlour. Apart from all that we are on the edge of Dartmoor where you can run, walk, cycle, horse ride or just sit and relax, 20 minutes from the English Riviera, Dartmouth and Salcombe and numerous sandy beaches yet only 25 minutes from Plymouth and Exeter. There are many wonderful pubs and restaurants catering for all tastes within a few miles of Ashburton Court waiting for you to enjoy, so come and join us.
