Company information

We hope you choose to stay with us at Anchor's Drop. We try to offer a different sort of place to stay than usual. Anchors Drop is what was the Blue Anchor Hotel that had to close due to cliff erosion. Work has now been done and we are able to re open for group stays in the main building on a self catering basis. The bar and restaurant remain closed. We also have 6 static Caravans and an apartment. Please note that only bookings for the main building have use of the hot tubs and garden.

Property information

Please note Sea Defence and Cliff works that took place in place in 2023 are finished but the Bar and restaurant will remain closed for the summer as there is still some minor work to do. We are open for bookings for our Holiday Homes (Static Caravans) and the mian building is available for large group stays. Also not the the hot tubs and garden is only available to guests who have booked the apartment or the main building. Located in Blue Anchor between Minehead and Watchet, Anchor's Drop use to be the former Blue Anchor Hotel. We offer 6 self catering Holiday Homes (Static Caravans) as well as 6 individual rooms the hotel. These rooms are provided on a room only basis with no catering facilities except for tea or coffee. We also offer bookings for up to 22 (up to 40) people in the main building as a group stay with a games room and use of the former bar and dining area and kitchen. We also offer a 4 bedroom apartment, that use to be the landlords accommodation. This is only access via the pub garden and does not have its own separate garden. The Holiday Homes are more suitable for those who do not want to be on a large holiday park and the rooms are for people who want something different to the usual hotel or b&b. Each Holiday Home has a full kitchen with all the crockery and utensils that you should need. All bed linen and towels are included. There is also decking for sitting out side with tables and chairs or a picnic bench. Fibre Wi Fi is available throughout Anchor's Drop, All accommodation is self check in and we ask guest to study all the photos for each unit before booking.

Located on the cliff at Blue Anchor. Blue Anchor beach is dog friendly all the year round. Explore beautiful West Somerset and Exmoor.
