Located in the beautiful hamlet of Port Mulgrave on the North Yorkshire coastline, Ammonite Cottage is a true hidden gem! Positioned on the cliff top, set in an enviable position overlooking the sea, this beautifully presented cottage is your perfect coastal retreat. Sleeping 4 guests across 2 tastefully decorated bedrooms, complete with a log burner for those chillier evenings. An outdoor raised terrace leads to a spacious garden which meanders towards the sea, with garden furniture for you to relax and enjoy the sea air and envious views…. it will be hard to steal yourself away! Port Mulgrave is located very close to the quaint North Yorkshire village of Hinderwell and is also perfect for enjoying cliff top walks to both Whitby and Saltburn. Ammonite Cottage is perfect for families, welcoming children. Unfortunately, DOGS are not accepted. There is FREE parking for 2 vehicles.

Ammonite Cottage is positioned close to the villages of Hinderwell and Staithes, both offering good local amenities. A little further afield, some 8 miles down the coast, sits the historic fishing town of Whitby, with its world-famous Abbey and wide variety of local shops, cafes and restaurants and world-famous Fish & Chips! Heritage Coastlines are also in abundance as well as the glorious North York Moors countryside. The Cleveland Way just a 2-minute walk away, with Ammonite Cottage serving as an excellent base from which to explore North Yorkshire's magnificent Heritage Coastline and the beautiful North York Moors countryside. Whilst semi-rural and well tucked away from the coastal tourism hustle and bustle, the charming seaside fishing villages of Runswick Bay and Staithes are situated just 5 minutes away by car or less than an hour away on foot via a bracing cliff-top walk along the Cleveland Way. The coastline between Staithes and Whitby is also a beachcombers' paradise. The historical City of York is situated just 45 miles from the cottage. A great day out exploring the culture of the Minster, museums, galleries and the ancient City walls. Or if your passion is food, you’ll find many excellent independent bars and restaurants to discover. The City of York is brimming with history and culture. Take a walk along the castle walls or head to York Minster for some truly jaw dropping architecture, followed by a wander around the cobbled streets with beautiful architecture to admire and independent boutiques to peruse. Castle Howard and the Howardian Hills AONB lie 35 miles by car and the world-famous Yorkshire Dales National Park miles 60 miles.
