Faysselle Holiday Cottages are 3 charming gites located in 12 acres of beautiful French countryside. They have been created around the 210 yr old farm buildings and grain store and contain beams, stone walls and many traditional features. Soleil Levant was the old animal barn that now comfortably sleeps 4 and is semi-detached with Soleil Couchant. This is a quirky "upside down" house that sleeps 6. It has a grand double-height glass entrance, that used to be the old hay barn. Both these gites have woodburners and electric heaters, making them perfect year round gites. Grand Soleil is our independent holiday home that used to be the old grain store, and it sleeps 7. The pool sits on a wonderful terrace overlooking our woods gardens and field, which are waiting to be explored! All gites include bedlinen & towels, fully equipped kitchens with white goods, and have their own private patio with BBQ. Whether you want an action-packed holiday or prefer gentler pastimes, there will be plenty for all ages including:- historical sights, wine tours, water park & zoo, science exploration, horse riding, tree trekking, river tours, night markets and wonderful fresh produce and local wines.
We are based on-site, in the farmhouse with our cat Ziggy. We can provide information on local attractions, grocery shopping or the best places to eat out! We love the Lot et Garonne for its rolling hills, beautiful villages and hillside bastides. We adjoin the Tarn et Garonne and the Dordogne so there is always something to do or somewhere to explore! The warm days, wildlife and starry nights can be experienced any time of the year.
Both Bergerac and Toulouse airports are approx. 90 minutes drive away. A car is essential for getting around as we are in a rural, farming area. The nearest shop for emergency essentials is in Tayrac, about 10 mins drive; with the nearest big supermarket approx. 25 minutes away, and the center of Agen about 30 minutes away. There is so much to experience and explore here, including a Michelin star restaurant in nearby Puymerol, for those special occasions!
