the view is phenomenal, overlooking the canal where many boats pass and the river Coney. you can step out the door and immediately start your walk or bike ride and enjoy the greenery and peaceful surroundings or just relax on the terrace or in the large garden (if the season is there you can pick your own plums) and discover the many birds that make themselves heard. Nothing is better than waking up to the singing of the birds🐦 and the sound of the river. our gite is on the cycling route La voie bleue, Santiago de Compostella, Benjaminse Maas,du soleil and Barcelona so if you need a quiet night ...... If you like fishing, no problem but you must have a permit available at the tourist office in Bains les Bains. From mid-April there are many vide greniers in the area so if you like browsing among old stuff you will not be bored. The gite is simply furnished but fully equipped. (There is even a small airfryer ;)) And a bottle of wine or 2 cold beers are waiting for you on arrival. You will also find lots of information about the area and sights/visits. We have 2 electric folding bikes for rent, so you can discover the area in a relaxed way without having to bring your own bikes. Pets are allowed (max 2). We ask 15 euro extra.

Alan loves motorbikes, his 2cv (duck) and his Camper to get away with. Ina loves working in her large garden, walking her dog Cooper and making her guests comfortable. So we welcome you warmly and are at your service if you have any questions. But privacy is guaranteed if you want it.

You will stay in the historic village of Fontenoy le Chateau. The chateau is being restored and has an embroidery museum, port, bar, boulangerie and some art galleries. On Tuesdays, you can buy kebabs from the food truck in the centre of the village. Thermes de Bains les Bains is 8 km from us. In Bains les Bains, you can have great food/pizza at MII 991 open mid-day and evening, they are closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, You can also order and collect. go to the supermarket Intermarche for your groceries, the bank and the tourist office for information.
