Le Jarrier is situated a rural setting but is within a short drive of many places of interest and activities. The self catering holiday apartment is in half of the main farmhouse and sleeps a maximum of 4 people benefits from a private entrance, free parking & outdoor seating areas. MINIMUM STAY IS TWO NIGHTS The Apartment, new in 2020, was previously a Chambre d'hote for 3 years until changing to an apartment in 2020 with the added kitchenette to enable guests more independence and flexibility. The private entrance leads into a Kitchenette / Lounge / Dining area with Coffee Machine, A SMART / WIFI LCD TV with French and English Freesat channels and unlimited Free WIFI, enables Netflix etc. On the first floor (PLEASE NOTE, this is accessed via a SPIRAL STAIRCASE), are the three bedrooms, one double - for 2 people, the other two are singles (for one person) and a shower room with walk-in shower & WC. Maximum number of guests is 4. No pets or children under 3 years because we have no child safety gates on the spiral staircase. Please note, customers must be able to use the spiral staircase to get to the Shower room / WC and 3 bedrooms which are located on the 1st floor. Le Jarrier is also home to our friendly dog & cat. 20 mins from the A28 motorway (J20)

We have owned Le Jarrier since 2004 when it had been empty for 20 years and needed total renovation. The Apartment was changed from a chambre d'hote to a self catering apartment with a kitchenette in 2020. The Apartment is situated in half of the main farmhouse. We also converted the former stable (separate to the house), into a gite / holiday cottage rental, which opened in 2008. Both our rental properties have a Trip Advisor 5/5 Review score from approximately 70 reviews. We also have a large number of guests who make return visits.

Within 2 kilometres (approx 1 mile) from Le Jarrier is a popular Bungie Jump (Saut à l'élastique), attracting weekend visitors to our village, St Georges le Gaultier. We are 10 mins from a lovely lakeside beach (Coco Plage- Sille le Guillaume), where there are many activities such as pedalos, tree climbing, cycle hire, boat, forest trails and tourist train trips to name only a few. There are also bars and free parking at the lake. The Alpes Mancelles is a well known tourist area with small pretty villages such as St Leonard des Bois and St Ceneri le Gerei . St Leonard, just 10-15 mins drive from Le Jarrier, has canoe hire and Adventure in the Trees / Tree Climbing both are very popular with our guests. The nearest supermarket, open every day is approx 5-10 mins drive from Le Jarrier. There are local markets every day, Fresnay Sur Sarthe, Evron, Alencon and Le Mans are the most visited by our guests. Le Mans is less than an hours drive, offering the world famous 24 hour race circuit and museum, the old town, cathedral and popular Sunday morning market. Alencon which is in the Orne, Normandy is 20 mins north with two markets a week and shops, bars, cafes etc
