Visit the historic center: The apartment is located 2 steps from the historic center. Turn right out of the building. Walk 300 m to the Casino Shop and turn right into rue de la Fontaine. You're in the historic center! Stroll through the narrow streets lined with charming boutiques and half-timbered buildings. Must-see places in the historic center: 1. St. Peter's Cathedral Visit this beautiful Gothic cathedral with its brightly-colored stained glass windows. 2. Place Henri IV Stop off at this medieval square surrounded by half-timbered houses. Stand at the corner of the square, in front of Les Mégalithes jewelry store, and look up. The houses are almost touching! 3. The house of Vannes and his wife This granite sculpture, set into the masonry of an early 16th-century timber-framed house, depicts a couple emblematic of the town of Vannes. 4.
