Having been pilgrims for many years, in 2023 we decided to put our rucksacks down and combine our 70 years of work to create L'ESCALE DE VARAIRE and start welcoming pilgrims and holidaymakers to this wonderful département of the Lot, which offers magnificent scenery, a wide range of activities and an incredible culinary and gourmet diversity.

NOTE for our pilgrims and hikers who book this room through Booking: Please contact us at the time of booking to organize your arrival and any half-board you may require, which must be confirmed no later than the day before your arrival. This is our place, and our place is L'ESCALE DE VARAIRE, a group of gîtes in two typical Quercy houses dating from 1765 and 1820. For your relaxation and rest, the bedroom is located in the old bread oven of this 1765 Quercy house. You'll find a queen-size bed (160cm), a wood-burning stove in the inglenook fireplace, and a small bathroom with toilet accessed via a miller's staircase. If you come with your pet, the land is enclosed by dry stone walls and hedges. We would like to point out that we only accept one dog at a time, and that we would like to discuss this with you before your arrival, in relation to our dog. We don't accept category 1 and 2 dogs, even Loofés, or NACs.

Situated in the heart of the Limogne Causse, its countryside location ensures peaceful moments, while providing easy access to many of the major tourist attractions in the Lot and surrounding area.
