Reading some of the negative reviews I was uneasy before entering the room. It turned out most of them were unfounded. The hotel is reasonably clean and maintained, with good facilities such as espresso machine with free capsules. There is no every day cleaning service, which is to be expected in an apart hotel. The hotel is not four star, but this is normal in France - you should always subtract one star from local hotels. The important thing is that they are part of a hotel chain which keeps a good quality in its establishments unlike most of the local independent hotels. Location is perfect, only 8 min walking from Opera Garnier with plenty of good restos around.

Located in a lively neighborhood, Citadines Opéra Paris is a 5-minute walk from the Drouot auction room and the stock market. Paris Opera House and large department stores are only 10 minutes' walk away, and the Grévin wax museum is 300 metres away. All these self-catering apartments come with fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms with separate toilets. Breakfast is served daily in the breakfast room at an extra charge. The district of Richelieu-Drouot is an important shopping area where you will find numerous boutiques, shopping galleries - Passages Verdeau, Choiseul, Jouffroy & des Panoramas - and restaurants. The Grand Rex cinema is only 10 minutes' walk from the Citadines Opéra Paris, while the Louvre museum is 15 minutes from the property by public transport.
