We, Karin and Jan, are a Dutch couple. At the end of 2015, we decided to emigrate to Spain. It was our cat Pippi that inspired us to come up with the name "Los Mofletes" (in English "chubby cheeks"). In November 2016, the day of the emigration, our Spanish adventure was about to begin. After two and a half years of renovations, Los Mofletes had been transformed into a true paradise. In May 2019, we opened the doors for guests, who unsuspectingly stepped into a piece of paradise to be blown away by the beauty and tranquillity of the surroundings. And this is what it is all about for us, giving guests a taste of what we may experience every day. Each day we are delighted by the choice we made to move to Spain. The weather, the surroundings, the peace, the garden, our work and, of course, our authentic village of Chinchón. We hope to welcome you soon!

The city of Chinchón, built on a hill with small narrow streets, is listed as one of the most picturesque villages of the province of Madrid. Despite its location so close to the capital, Chinchón has managed to preserve its unique character. A beautiful landscape of different colors of brown, gray and ochre, with olive yards, vineyards and fields of garlic. The Plaza Mayor is “the place to be”, where you can enjoy a drink with delicious tapas on one of the terraces!
