Great value for the money paid! The location was great as I had a hospital appointment very early in the morning it’s only about 12 minutes walk away since I can’t drive this worked out great, staff incredibly welcoming and helpful. The house is quite near a main road but you couldn’t hear the traffic at all so I slept really well. I didn’t have the breakfast as I had to leave early but the whole place looked very clean and just nice to be there , I would definitely stay there again and recommend as a place to stay for my family and friends wanting to travel further north .

Didn’t really find anything wrong with the place but I know that the rooms had quite thin walls of which you could hear occasionally walking up and down in the corridor but it didn’t affect me as I was the only one staying there at the time so that’s all .

The hotel and pub itself is beautiful, well decorated and a great central location. The room was spacious and well looked after. The staff really make it though, they were so lovely. Lots of goodies left in the room to fuel our day of walking, incredible breakfast included. We also ate in their restaurant and the food was phenomenal. It was my husbands birthday which I mentioned at booking and at dinner they had a helium balloon, card from the team and giant chocolate bar out for him. Really lovely touches, can't recommend enough.

Helpful and accommodating front desk on arrival and departure; breakfast was largely self service buffet with cooked items kept warm but plentiful and a reasonable selection. Bedroom and en-suite shower room clean and comfortable with plenty of electricity sockets but searched in vain for a hairdryer. Not sure if the light above the entrance was working as it didn't come on when I flicked the associated switch.

Good to have off-street parking to the rear but the access to this could have been better maintained. Despite being a large hotel building it is operating as bed and breakfast only, fortunately there are good bar/pub/evening meal options within walking distance.

Great location and lovely street, drive big enough for 2 cars. Well equipped and decor nice design. Plenty of cleaning materials, washing up liquid, etc... Nice to see place mats and Bath mat which is good with kids. Towels were provided and clean. Comfortable beds and sofa.

The recycle bin inside hadn't been emptied ( which host apologised for). The bins outside had no room for our rubbish. Could have been touch cleaner in some areas. Some of cups in cupboard hadn't been washed in dishwasher properly and white sheet on sofa bed had stain on. Some scuffs on walls. Only 4 chairs and property was for 6 people.

Really nice modern vibe, perfect location, nice and quiet, clean and comfortable. Margaret was really attentive and responded quickly to any questions we had.

There were a lot of organized groups which meant it was hard to use the kitchen facilities sometimes. It was very hot in the rooms and the cleanliness could be improved.
