At a distance of about 800 meters there is a shopping center with bakeries, discounters and other shopping facilities. Throughout the year there are interesting events around the Möhne lake and in the surrounding area, e.g. bicycle festivals, lake festivals or town festivals, Warsteiner Montgolfiade (hot air balloon), farmers' markets, night swimming in the salt works and guided tours of the town.
