The area is ideal for hiking or skiing or tobogganing, for example in the Wolfsschlucht or Zum Schwarzen Mann. A bike path built by the municipality is just a few meters away. In Bitburg you can go ice skating or visit the brewery. Gerolstein offers fantastic hiking trails. The recommendable Nimstal cycle path is a cycle path along the Eifel river Nims. It connects Weinsheim in the Prümer Kalkmulde, the headwaters of the Nims with its mouth into the Prüm near Irrel. Thus, it provides a connection between the Eifel-Ardennes Cycle Path and the Prümtal Cycle Path in the cycle path network of Rhineland-Palatinate. Via the Prümtal-Radweg, the Sauertal near Minden, on the German-Luxembourgian border, can be reached after only a few kilometers.
