Beautiful period property that's been carefully restored in an interesting area that most tourists don't visit (I certainly saw very few). I enjoyed seeing the architecture (don't miss walking down Calle 50 to Centro - full of old houses that would have been THE place to live in the 40's and 50's I guess. Friendly staff, I enjoyed it.

Everything here was so charmingly furnished, and the atmosphere the host created was really lovely. He was always ready to treat us with coffee, was up for a nice conversation and gave us a lot of useful tips. Would definitely stay at this place again on my next trip to Medellín! 😀

A wonderful and personal place in a good location. Clean and suitable sized rooms with lots of storage space. The big kitchen, where you can cook, and the wonderful terrace were particularly good. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa del Prado! Especially the owner Ivan was always friendly and up for a chat. Starting with a coffee in the morning we always felt welcome. His recommendations for our travel were so helpful! Apart from that we enjoyed the beautiful interior with a southern Spanish style, used the big kitchen and relaxed at the terrace with an incredible view over the city. A perfect start for our time in Colombia!

The Villa del Prado is a jewel in a sea of pearls. Not only does it have a great location in the city, it is also a very welcoming place, with its' colonial style and amazing city view from the terrace. The hosts are incredibly warm and helpful, and very proud of the incredible restoration work they have done with the place (which they should be!). Do yourself a favor, and if you're ever in Medellín, book a room at Villa del Prado, and thank me later ;-)

This property is something else, truly impressive, a work of art. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I felt completely welcome and cared for and learned to expect the one word question “coffee?” on a regular basis. The view of the north of Medellin from the terrace is phenomenal, and is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and thank the host again for his attention and and care.
