This property is located beside the CN rail line and the train horn is sounded when northbound trains cross the river bridge. It can provide some amazing echos on the river at night but some may find it disruptive. The tents do not have running water, air conditioning.or private restroom. There is a shared outhouse. No daily housekeeping. The river is at your doorstep! Crystal clear Green River has a gentle flow. The sandy, private beach comes complete with floaties, sun loungers and umbrella .Rental includes the use of kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, PFDs, bicycles and fishing equipment on a first come basis. Fire pit and firewood. BBQ with propane side burner, BBQ utensils, pots, plates, cutlery salt and pepper provided for cooking. Onsite parking. Sit back and cast a line off the dock (MNR license required) or grab a book and soak up some sun. There are many excellent hiking trails in the area and over 7 km of lazy river to explore. Your personal, large 10'x20' glamping tent has a screened porch with seating and table for dining or just relaxing steps from the river. Inside you'll find a seating area for dining or relaxing on the pull out sofa and a comfortable queen bed. All linens and beach towels are included. Washago is a quaint little town and the ice cream shop and coffee shop bakery are definitely worth a visit. There are two restaurants as well as a grocery store and a convenience store. Even the two hardware stores are worth a peek. Casino Rama is a 10 minute drive and hosts some excellent concerts throughout the summer and has also has a spa and a number of restaurants. Conveniently located 5 minutes from highway 11 and an hour and a half from Toronto.
