Sailors Whisk is a special spot for a couple, or two. Past the post and rail fence lies our quaint little antique cottage, nestled in her new resting place, peaceful Flinders. A short walk to the local beaches, shopping street and eateries. Two cosy bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen with cast iron Esse cooker, fireplace, luxurious bedding, antique furnishings and local artworks, a large covered deck, wood fired pizza oven and fire pit. Two Bikes and SUPS for guest use. Enjoy savouring the local produce? Our quaint, handmade kitchen boasts an iconic cast iron range cooker, and every possible item you might need to whip up a Peninsula feast. Or simply enjoy a cheese platter on the entertaining deck while the pizza oven warms up for you wood fired delights. Afterwards, sink into the French club chairs with a glass of wine, and watch the flames flicker in the fireplace. Bathe with our heavenly Ayurvedic toiletries made locally and slip into a fluffy bathrobe. The two cosy bedrooms have luxurious QS beds dressed in quality linens and plump feather pillows, antique furnishings and beautiful local artworks.
Laura is a lover of the salty country air. A qualified interior and architectural building designer, she and her builder partner Dan are picking their way through their favourite parts of Victoria building and renovating unique properties into luxuriously comfortable homes to put your feet up at the end of an adventure filled day. We are located a quick 2 mins walk to the north beach of Flinders, and a short 10 minute walk to the main shopping strip and the steps down to the Flinders Pier. An easy roll home from Plonk & Stink or the pub! There’s plenty of walks, wineries and market stalls immediately surrounding Flinders. A 15 minute drive gets you to the centre of the Peninsula, Red Hill. When the touristy day is over you get to come back to peaceful Flinders, and even better….Sailors Whisk. We supply 2 x bikes that are great for zipping around Flinders town. Anything further and you’ll want your car.
