ecoRidge Hideaway is the product of a lifelong dream by husband and wife, Greg and Sylvie Hockin. In setting up this retreat, they have been able to share their piece of paradise with many guests from different horizons. ecoRidge Hideaway is focused on eco friendly living with a preference for recycled building materials. In addition, waste disposal is managed and reduced thanks to the help of friendly worms. Perched on an escarpment and looking at wilderness and faraway farmland, the property is also a wildlife sanctuary with a large variety of birds and many wallabies. This is the ideal place to connect with Nature and enjoy exceptional views all year around as well as a log fire in the cold Winter months.
Hi! Bonjour! I'm Sylvie. You will be greeted by my husband Greg and I on your visit. We both love the bush and would not live anywhere else. We like discovering new places and had a ball some ten years ago driving around and exploring our big country in a motorhome with our young family. We also travel overseas regularly to visit relatives. We like meeting new people and make sure everything is set for our guests to enjoy their stay. Cheers, Sylvie
Although ecoRidge Hideaway offers a country experience, it is only located an easy 15 minute drive from the Garden City of Toowoomba. Toowoomba is well known for its September Carnival of Flowers. It is a dynamic country city with a growing urban flair. So you will find there many coffee places, eateries, art galleries, parks and entertainment. On the outskirts, visit notorious pubs such as Nobby Pub on the Southern side or Meringandan Hotel on the Northern side to experience country hospitality at its best. The keen bushwalker will get a 360 degrees bird eye's view of the Lockyer Valley by climbing Table Top Mountain and will enjoy visiting nearby national parks (Crows Nest, Ravensbourne, Goomburra and the Bunya Mountains). Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre is also a great port of call to plan your holidays activities.
