Our cute Cottage "Knusperhaus" is located just a few meters from the public beach on Lake Wolfgang, thus offering a short dip in the lake after sunbathing on the terrace or in the garden under a shady fruit tree at any time. The "Knusperhaus" has a cozy, special flair. It is lovingly furnished, fully equipped and awaits you smoke-free and neat. The nearby shops and restaurants within walking distance do not require a car. Short distances in and around Strobl can also be done with 2 bicycles, which are available to you free of charge. For longer and more challenging bike rides, the latest (e-) bikes are available for rent in nearby bike shops. The lake hiking trail passes in the immediate vicinity, as well as the hiking and cycling path through our adjacent nature reserve "Blinkling-Moos".
The Unterberger family looks forward to welcome you in Strobl at Lake Wolfgang and is happy to be there for you. We enjoy ourselves the opportunities offered by the region of Salzkammergut and around Lake Wolfgang: hiking, cycling, mountaineering, swimming in the Wolfgangsee (drinking water Quality!), in winter ski touring, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, tobogganing, ice skating - everything is possible and accessible in little time. My husband and I live about 8km from the Holiday house "Knusperhaus", adjacent to the Salzkammergut Golf Club, so my husband plays golf. Our 2 grandchildren are our top priority. One of our sons lives with his family in the immediate vicinity of the "Knusperhaus" and help you out with any questions you may have.
Our Lake Wolfgang with its excellent drinking water quality is one of the warmest lakes in the region "Salzkammergut" and is also suitable for various water sports. The "Salzkammergut" with its natural beauty and rich culture is part of UNESCO's World Heritage and World Natural Heritage. In and around Strobl there are many cycling and hiking opportunities. Climb one of the many surrounding mountains, many of which tower up to 1700m. The Schafberg, the Zwölferhorn, the Katrinalm, the Postalm and the Krippenstein can be reached without any physical exertion, comfortably by cable car, car or cog railway. The many surrounding lakes invite you to visit. Worth seeing in the wider area is the historic town of Hallstatt, as well as the operetta and imperial city of Bad Ischl, St. Wolfgang (known by the operetta and the film the "Weisses Roessl"), as well as the city of Salzburg with its city center, the castle, the Cathedral, Mozart's birthplace, many museums and the festival, which was voted top destination 2020 by the travel guide LonelyPlanet.
