We booked three nights and could not have been happier! The host family was really an example of panamanian hospitality, they looked after us for trips, gave us tips, and even a small tour around the neighborhood. Very sweet people. Auxi, the host, is an English teacher, so you will have no problems with communication. We loved the stay as it gave us an idea of rural panamanian life and access to more hidden spots to visit (including the 'Pozo azul', which you need to go to). Recommend!

This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! The staff are very helpful knowing everything about all the walks and treks. There is a kitchen upstairs and downstairs which is very convenient. The outdoor area is great to chill in and they offer yoga (for a donation) and free cooked breakfast in the mornings. Lastly my favourite part is there’s quite a few friendly dogs around which is my heaven and I absolutely loved. For the people who don’t like dogs, they really keep to themselves unless you approach them to pet them.

Every room includes air conditioning, and certain units at the hostel have a balcony. The units feature bed linen. I have the greatest experience I could imagine. Very helpful and super nice lady. She did her best and more for us. The room was spacious and clean. So was the bathroom.

Situated in El Valle, Hostal Lopez El Valle Cabañas has a garden, shared lounge, BBQ facilities, and free WiFi. Free private parking is available and the hostel also features bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. We loved staying here so much that we kept coming back. The garden was lovely (we saw a sloth, armadillo and some lovely birds there) and the studios were large enough to accommodate our toddler and ourselves very comfortably. They provide coffee, shampoo and soap and can supplement this if needed. Beds are great and the hot water was fixed during our first days there which really added value because of El Valle's fresh climate. Whenever we had a question or request the managers were always super quick and happy to help. We will definitely be coming back again! Gracias por todo!
