Ideally set in the centre of Yangon, HOOD Hostel features air-conditioned rooms, a bar and free WiFi. The property is close to several well-known attractions, 700 metres from Mahabandoola Garden, 1 km from Yangon Central Railway Station and 700 metres from Saint Mary's Cathedral. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage for guests. The staff was absolutely lovely! They're so attentive, kind and helpful. They're delightful to interact with. The hostel is really top notch. The beds are very clean and cool and very private. There is a lot of common space and the bathrooms and showers are very clean and good. Breakfast is very tasty and good value. Overall, excellent quality for a good price.

At the hostel rooms come with air conditioning, a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and slippers. Rooms are equipped with a kettle, while certain rooms are equipped with a kitchenette with a microwave. The rooms will provide guests with a fridge.
Great location totally central in thick of everything
The room was very spacious and the breakfast was excellent and all the staff were attentive and polite. Great location close to the Pagoda
The localisation in the Downtown is superb, most of atractions and good cafes and restaurants as well as money changers or mobile services is in walking distance from hostel. The ambience is basic, loft style, clean. There is a good privacy inside the dorms. The hotel staff is super helpful f.e. with bus ticket booking or giving pro tips for local transportation. They have theire own restaurant and the rooftop space open till late evening, which is very convenient in the city, where almost everything closes before 8am

We really enjoyed and it was very comfortable! The location is good! Especially, the staffs are soooooo nice! When we couldn’t find the convenience store at night, he walked with us to the convenience store!! Also, the other staff helped us to catch the taxi when it was heavy rain.!! We started our trip with joy because of Hood Hostel😍
The staff is the best thing about this hostel. Everything else comes second. The bed is good. The toilet is ok.
It's being run by student undertaking the hotel course, they are friendly and energetic. Everything has been beyond my expectation, this hostel is better than most hostels I have stayed in Europe. You can hardly see a foreign tourist in the country at the moment due to the political situation, but the city itself is very safe to travel. Grab your ticket and visa and explore this beautiful country with amazing people!
