The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.3 km from Tanabe Ogigahama Beach. we had a great time in Django and Tanabe ! we were six for two nights in the dorm and all went perfectly well. our host was waiting for us and helped prior coming with bus schedule, he has been very accommodating, thanks so much again. coffee and tea and fridge at disposal so we could have breakfast in the dorm on the table, very practical. laundry and drying is possible for a small fee. the hostel is 1 min from the station and buses to go to Shirahama. 15min to the beach. 2 min from a great bakery (bets bread I had in Japan and I’m a picky French), and across the road you have a very very good burger place.

Hongu is a wonderful town. Staff were nice and location next to the Temple was a bonus. Rooms and common facilities were clean. Hostel is well run by a Buddhist monk.

Also they had a super powerful AC unit which made going into the room very comfortable.
