Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It features a spacious and comfortable lounge, a tatami (woven-straw) terrace and a wall-size map with latest event information around Kyoto. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property, while portable WiFi devices are available for guests to use during their stay for an additional fee.

Private rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV and a washbasin. A semi-double size bunk (120cm wide) in the dormitory rooms comes with a luggage space and a security locker. I highly recommend this accommodation! Everything was incredibly well thought out and set up and our stay could not have been any smoother or stress free. Would definitely stay here again next time in Kyoto.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 600 metres from Shimoyamatobashi Monument. The location was excellent. It was within walking distance to a number of great attractions in Osaka. The host was really friendly and helpful as well. She made sure everything was taken care of, and was able to suggest a delicious dinner spot in the area. I hope to visit again!

The host here is super nice and outgoing!! He shared lots of his travel experience and guided me where to go, to have some delicious meal even I got no rigid planning hahaha~ I love the plant and flowers here too! It was so relaxing to stay around in caranashi and imazato:D!!

There is a nice common area on the ground floor where you can eat and chat with other guests. The place is very clean. It is located in Samegai, which is a very small town, with no noise and very calm. Quite easy to reach Kyoto from here. Great place!

Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 1.8 km from the hostel. Super clean and comfortable, felt very secure and safe in the hostel. Direct access to station via a lift from inside the hostel which was super helpful. Staff were all so sweet and helpful too. Location was great and walking distance from almost everything we wanted to do. The bathrooms/make up and hair facilities were some of the best I have ever had in a hostel. All in all I have no complaints at all, definitely worth the higher hostel cost!
