I felt at home right away and was welcomed by a nice guy called Pradipta. He was super helpful with answering all my questions, showed me around, gave me a warmer blanket and made lots of cups of coffee and tea for me with a friendly smile. I couldn't not be happier after a long journey on a rainy day. They also gave a free quiet room to teach my online lesson and that was incredibly nice of them. This morning they also helped me to cancel one reservation on booking.com by using their phones what took some time to do. Wow! What great help! Will definitely come back.

They took are very clean.Lastly the owner is extremely helpful and helped me during my stay with late check-in very cooperative lady . The room mates were fun to stay with. Overall a very good experience.. and extremely budget friendly couldn't find this kind of room at this price .

I would highly reccomend everyone to ask the host for the local food and places(their recommendations),They will reccomend you places and restaurants that are gems.

The best stay experience one could ever get in Darjeeling! Everything was so good about this place, would love to go back again. The rooms are so clean and beds are super cozy. This hostel is really well run, clean, spacious and in a great location. Roof top has awesome views! A nice mix of travellers from round the globe. Comfy beds.
It was a great location. The staff were great . The rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again because it is very good value for money. It took me about 40 minutes to walk to Howrah Bridge from the hotel. Its a very busy city but there is a calmness the hotel as its set back a little off the road so bear that in mind when trying to locate it. The shopkeepers around are very friendly though. I felt very safe .
The hotel staff and management is very friendly, helpful and generous. They talk very politely with guests. The hotel bathrooms are clean with 24*7 hot water. The hotel rooms are clean and nice though it's a dormitory. The hotel is located in a busy area and you can get all types of transport nearby. Beds are bit hard but manageable. It's a safe place to stay. The hotel is equipped with fast wifi connection. The hotel is fine for solo and family travel as they have a private room with a private bathroom as well I think.
We stayed in Soukyam hotel for a family trip to Kolkata. We were very happy with the hotel for the following reasons: 1. Great location - very close to Dakshinapan. 15 min walk from South City Mall. 2. Very clean and all facilities provided. 3. Friendly staff. We especially liked a receptionist who was cheerful and efficient. 4. Budget friendly. 5. The complimentary breakfast was tasty
It is located 10mins from mall road so travelling wasn't an issue. The people were wonderful. Made us feel very comfortable. Felt safe during the whole stay. P.s- if you're a dog lover you'll get to see three dogs coming to visit you everytime the owner comes! recommending this stay to every backpackers, couples, solo travellers! Also the rooms and washrooms are very clean (unlike other hostels)

It's a place where you feel like home, the people who are running the hostel, Benu, Tamil, Rojer and Roshan are very welcoming and warm, they are also well informed about the locality and tourists spots . It's place where a backpacker who is on a budget can really look forward to. The facilities that are provided are worth the money. The view from the terrace is another bonus.
