YHA Ilam Hall Hostel is a National Trust property, and the River Manifold runs through the beautiful grounds. Alton Towers is a 15-minute drive away, and Chatsworth House is a 30-minute drive.
Great location, beautiful building with an old world charm, located in midst of very well maintained gardens. Great for a family weekend. One of my most memorable stays.

Great place in a great location. The home was clean and tidy and exceeded our expectations. We had excellent communications from the owner. Plus the location had safe parking for the motorbikes. Hope to be back again soon.
Buxton is so lovely and the hotel is in a great location to easily access all the sites. The big sign helps to navigate back and get to bed after a few. Cheap access to the pool, sauna and steam room was much appreciated the morning after.
Great location some fabulous features in the building. We booked it the same day as we were visiting for the day and decided to stay over , so it was cheap but for the money great value.
Breakfast was nice, but selection was a little limited compared to other hostels I've stayed in. The actual main building was stunning, the annex where I stayed was in need of better more reactive lighting outside, for safety.
Great location just off a main road so easy to find. Kinder Lodge stands out as an impressive stone built Inn wth plenty of seating inside and out. Kindly made a pot of tea for our older driving participants. The bar was busy and the staff still managed to get us booked in between the pints. Great atmostphere in the bar with the TV's, pool table and darts all on the go. We drove 5 minutes down the same road for a curry at New Mills which my friends like to do, then back to the bar for the evening.
Great Location for visit to Barrowhill Roundhouse the following day. Excellent cheap Chinese Restaurant close by.

Great location with a large car park , bright and lovely grounds. Staff helpful and friendly . Menu good and food very nice . The outdoor thermal pool a fabulous bonus with lifeguards as a safety measure
