great location, though limited safe walking options. charming place, good parking.
I love that the place is cheap, very quiet and historical. Lower bunk bed is first come, first serve basis. I left a message because no one answered when I called twice but they have reserved the bed for my anyway. thank you 😊 buffet breakfast is worth the money! 😍😋 I also love that we have our own shower room at all female dormitory.
this is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. the facilities are wonderful. great location. the owners are extremely friendly and helpful with anything we needed during our stay. our dogs stayed with us this time and they were safe in the yard and loved being able to walk near the river only a short walk from the property. easy to walk into town and great transport links for train and bus services. overall a great stay
great location, right near to pubs, restaurants and shops. great value - cheaper than the nearby Premier Inn and more characterful
Lovely building, clean & spacious bedroom with en-suite. Comfortable bunk beds. Great location with scenic views. Good value breakfast.
Beautiful setting. Tea was great. Breakfast was fine. Room clean but fairly cosy for 2 sets of bunks. Odd smell in room but old building. Exceeded expectations for a youth hostel.
Absolutely breathtakingl location. Nothing can prepare you for the beauty as you drive into the valley. The grounds were amazing. The youth hostel was clean and functional. Perfect location for walking or cycling. We would go back again.
The rooms were a lot more run down than the pictures displayed on the website show but it was so cheap I should have realised. Reception was friendly but it was more a hostel than a guest house and if I was a backpacker on a budget with resilience and youth on my side it would have been a cheap overnight option.
Very well and safely organised without being intrusive. Comfortable well equipped accommodation. Great location for southern Peak District. Pleasant walk to the Carsington resevoir.
