The property is a 3-minute walk from an aquatic wellness centre. Unlike most surrounding accommodations, this one does not charge you extra for anything (linens, towels, etc. are included)! The location is perfect - 5 min away from Super Chatel lift and next to the shuttle stop (if you ever need it). The accommodation is clean, has everything you need, and most importantly, the host (Tomas) is amazing!!! Super friendly and responsive, makes it easy to check in even at midnight!
Châtel
Offering a terrace and a ski pass sales point, 1861 Châtel Hostel is a hostel set in Châtel in the Rhône-Alps Region,1.5 km from TS de la Pré la Joux Ski Lift. Free WiFi is featured and free private parking is available on site. Guests can enjoy views of the Châtel waterfall. Nice atmosphere, friendly and clean and decent value. One member of staff helpfully left us a key for a late check in, when we were delayed - I hope we didn't wake the other guests! The breakfast the following morning was reasonable value for a family. A nice setting, worth exploring further.

Location is easily reachable by public transport bus. By walk, it is about 30 mins from the city center. People who were staying there were amazing with different backgrounds and stories. The owner is a warm lady who greets you by giving clear instructions and helps you understand the rules of the hostel. The kitchen and the dining area is spacious where you will meet new people. Cleanliness is highly commendable. The views are great!
Great location, opposite to our favorite skiresort les grands montet. Owner are prompt in communication. Clean and new. Small apartment, perfect for my friend and me we occupy the 2 rooms. For family with 2 children it’s okay but for 2 couples I guess you get privacy issues as it is small and not sound proof.
A great stay at ho36, did near 10 nights in the 10 bed dormitory and met some very interesting people! All the staff were always very helpful and friendly! Great location to ski, less than 100m walk to the lifts and having the ski hire shop within the hotel is great too. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good value stay in La Plagne!
Beautiful, comfortable, warm, modern, homely and well furnished apartment with a good kitchen (no oven), hot shower and two bedrooms (one double / twin and one VERY small room with bunk beds). Central location near ski cage lifts, opposite the Spa supermarket and the swimming pool. Key safe is useful. Nice large veranda.
Key pick up on Sunday was easy! Great location for ski renting , pizza , beers en , ski elevator. Very nice and clean appartement with great view from the balcony. I prefer sleeping on de sleeping coach then the bunk beds. The sleeping coach was very good! The bathroom and the shower was very nice ! Apartment is very modern en looks good !
Great location. Ski in ski out fantastic. Boot room always clean and safe Safe parking - booked in advance Good size for 4 adults however second bedroom quite small. 2 bathrooms was good Cooking facilities fine for the week Bedrooms clean and fresh bedding Accommodation was safe. Local shops and restaurants. Staff were helpful in providing more glasses, mugs and toilet roll.
Great location, rich free breakfast, comfy beds, hot showers. On top of that a great bar and restaurant and very nice international staff. Great value for money. If you’re a backpacker, there’s no way around this hostel in chamonix!
The hostel has a budget friendly price but don’t expect too much with that price. I think it is ideal for backpackers who need a bed to sleep on. It has a nice view of the mountains.
This is by far one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. No exaggeration. The dormitory room was huge, had its own living room (complete with TV), kitchen, dining room, extra-storage space, and great (private) showers. Fantastic view to the mountains, modern and cozy decore and furniture. Easy and quick check-in, super attentive personnel, the list goes on.
