The bathroom is shared and basic, but fresh water at all times. All their food is home cooked, vegetarian and very delicious. You can also refill your bottle there to reduce plastic waste. They also offer tours to different places. Be informed, there is no wifi but if you have a sim card the connections works. Electricity is only available from around 7pm -7am. Very relaxed place directly at the beach.

Warmly recommended it's a 10 + !

I was lucky that I was the only person occupying the 4-beds space most of the time, so I cannot comment on what other people said about the rooms being 'cramped'. The staff is amazing, everybody is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms/showers were pretty small but okay overall. The AC in the rooms worked very well, the WiFi was great. The whole building including the rooftop area is very clean, nice and cozy. I definitely recommend staying here. It is pricey, but you can't get this quality at this location for less.

The hostel is located within the walled enclosure of the city, 300 meters from Bolivar Park, 120 meters from the Castillo de San Felipe. from Rafael Núñez airport 1.5 km Staff is super friendly and like family. I cant thank enough the support they gave me since i was a bit sick. I felt like home away from home. The house is right near the touristic area, you can walk everywhere. Defintively would return =)

República Hostel Cartagena features free WiFi . Good location in San Diego neighborhood, not quite so touristy crowded as hostels in centro. Bed cubicle fine, air con at night not too cold, bathrooms clean, pool fine, receptionists really nice, most speak English. Breakfast had 2 choices. Good hanging out areas to meet other travellers, daily evening activity, morning yoga. Good security.
