We have visited six countries in South America on this visit, and this has been my favorite hostel. The host was very communicative before our stay and helpful upon arrival. Location is perfect- one block from the Praia do Prainha, with a wide swimming beach, boogie boarding and surfing. There's also a hike on the north side of the beach, very accessible with views. I would rate the cleanliness among the top of the hostels we've stayed in. They have a living room with Netflix which is a lovely addition. They had a few extra surfboards which they lent to my son which was also very nice. The little yellow bar in the picture serves complimentary coffee 💛 Overall a relaxed vibe, a kind staff and thoughtful amenities at the property. Thank you to Gustavo and staff!

I really enjoyed this hostel, so much that i decided to stay a few extra days. The staff clearly cares about creating a pleasant environment. The shared outdoor space is really nice. None of the other guests were rude or noisy. Overall a great hostel experience, I would stay here again.

Well located in the Campeche district of Florianópolis, Hostel Aroeira do campo is located a few steps from Praia do Campeche, 4 km from Campeche Island and 13 km from Iguatemi Florianopolis Shopping Mall. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Nice quiet location 1 minute walk to the beach. Supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance also. Room was basic but comfy. Common space was spacious with a super chilled-out vibe.

Clean and organized space, good kitchen, water filter. They offer inexpensive beer and we had many games of pool/ping pong. Cool location and central, can access everywhere by bus and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the surrounding streets, everything you need. I planned to stay a few nights in various places around the island but ended up staying here for 10+ days.
