Within walking distance of the State Capitol and other attractions, this hostel in central Denver, Colorado offers an ideal location and free WiFi.

11th Avenue Hostel is steps from the Denver Art Museum and the Colorado Convention Center. Guests can also easily walk to the 16 Street Mall and a variety of restaurants and lounges.

The general environment and vibe was very nice. Friendly and helpful reception staff who was always at the desk and ready to help. Bed was comfortable, room was bigger than I expected, simply and appropriately furnished, and very clean. My room had a private bathroom which was also very clean. Location is very good - it took just 10 minutes walking to the downtown "mall" where I easily walked, sometimes a few times per day.

An upscale hostel for travelers, Hostel Fish is located in Denver. A bar and restaurant are located on site.

Offering free WiFi, Hostel Fish offers colourfully decorated mixed and co-ed dormitory rooms.

THE STAFF! Especially Mackenzie (staff and bartender extraordinaire!!) was just so awesome. Moa was also so lovely (tack så mycket!!) I arrived too early for check-in and they stored my backpack so I could go explore Denver. Same when my flight was delayed the last night I was in Denver even though I had already checked out. I loved the bar/common area; it gets very lively and incredibly fun. Met all kinds of wonderful and international people just hanging out there before exploring Denver during the day and at night before we all went out. I was in a 4 bed all-male room. Bought a lock but probably didn't even need it as the ppl in the room were super nice, not sketchy. My bunk was on the bottom and comfy, with outlets right there in bed so you can charge your phone and devices. Wi-fi was steady and fast. The kitchen is fully furnished with cooking stove, pots, pans, REAL utensils, spices, seasonings, big fridge. THE WORKS. That's miles above your average hostel already. There's a coffee pot made every morning for everyone and when it runs out you can just ask for more to be made (or make it yourself!). The kitchen area is also incredibly clean, which I love. Speaking of clean, the shared bathrooms are so nice and clean. Probably the best shared bath area I've ever come across at any hostel! The decor is incredibly bohemian and cool. There are cool little touches everywhere like old classic luggage as decorations. The location is great, a 5-10 min walk from almost everything (Downtown Denver, 7th Street Mall, etc.) and right around the corner is Larimer Street filled with bars/clubs. I had such a great time that when I got my first tattoos (Chakra Tattoo, THE BEST) I decided to incorporated a small fish to commemorate that it was during my stay at Hostel Fish (see pic lol). So yeah, you could say I couldn't recommend Hostel Fish anymore than possible. GO GO GO :)

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great hostel with fantastic facilities. Good communal areas across the hostel and the individual shower/bathrooms meant you could have real privacy, unlike a lot of other hostels. The staff were also really friendly and helpful, I had a delayed flight and when I showed up the following morning they had saved me a bed so I could immediately check in. Also felt very safe as a solo traveller

Great location near lots of museums, not far from bus stops which can take you to union station and gets you all around the city. Hostel staff were great - asked for recommendations and was not disappointed! Upon arrival I was given a different room (6 bed to a 4 bed) which was more roomy and I didn’t have to share at all when I was there! Bathrooms were plenty and clean and towels were provided.

The location was phenomenal, this was the first time I ever stayed in a hostel and I honestly expected the worst. But it was great, the facility was comfortable and I felt safe. I will be booking again the next time I’m in town.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, nice amenities. Bathrooms were kept relatively clean. Earplugs are provided at the reception, which is a great plus when you share a dormitory room.
