The hostel is exceptionally clean due to the hard work of two staff members Svitlana and Olya. They maintain all rooms, bathrooms and a kitchenet in a very good condition. The linen is always fresh and ironed. They can wash your clothes for you in a separate laundrette. Svetlana and Olya are always happy to answer any queries and assist you if you need extra help. Due to the kindness and care of these two ladies the place feels warm and safe.
On a safety note, the fact that the hostel is situated at a ground level makes it quite safe during air raids that unfortunately Kyiv experiences continuously now.
Ideally situated in the Pecherskyj district of Kyiv, Хостел 17 is situated 800 metres from Olympic Stadium, less than 1 km from Shevchenko Park and a 19-minute walk from Khreshchatyk Metro Station.

no crowd in the kitchen. The staff there is kind and helpful. My 10-day stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic hostel/hotel. We arrived very very late on the bus from Poland and the hostel was still open and received us. The room was fine. We had a room to ourselves. Hot showers. Perfect and really great value for money. This place exceeded my expectations! I'd stay there again for the night. Perfect location, right by the bus and a metro station.

Excellent location, great price for central Kyiv, very clean, and super friendly staff. For a single female traveler felt very safe at the hostel. The mattress was a bit on the thinner side but overall a great place to stay if you are visiting Kyiv. 9.5/10
Great location of the hostel, right there is a very good cafe and the neighbourhood is my favourite in Kyiv. Also the capsule rooms are spacious and having everything you might need. People working there are very nice and always ready to help.
I was the only guest so i had a whole hostel to myself. The manager was super kind and caring, i felt safe. The place is a little run down but has everything necessary, and the location is excellent.
I absolutely loved this apartment, great location, comfortable bed, great view on central street, with a terrace where you can enjoy your coffee. I was lucky to enjoy chestnuts blossom. Easy access to the apartment, quiet and safe neighbourhood, very friendly and responsive host. Highly recommended!
