Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The staff was great! The hostel was clean. The breakfast was good. For hostels my expectations are always pretty low but this was very clean and had a friendly staff. Bummer that the pool was out of commission but it’s a very small island so I’m guessing the pool fixer has to come in from somewhere else. The beds aren’t great but the price is and they have AC!!!
We stayed for two nights at the Azores Youth Hostel. We booked a double bed room with our own bathroom.
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was basic. Room was standard but clean. The beds were okay. Bathroom was simple but had a good shower. The shared space looked pretty good and also clean.
Location was at the bezinning of the main street and you could walk easily to some great restaurants and supermarkets.
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. The town was lovely with great supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. The hiking on the island amazing, recommended! The Youth Hostel was great, clean, friendly staff and good position.
Brilliant location, lovely helpful staff.
