Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Very cozy, homely hostel. The heater in our room was super efficient! There was a nice communal area with games and dvds. Also a well stocked kitchen area wiith cereals, toast, coffee etc provided for breakfast. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely little hostel that's cosy and well set up. It's like a house with private bedrooms throughout. I had a room with ensuite which costs a little more of course. The other guests were friendly. It was a really nice stay.

I was a little disappointed at first as I thought it was a motel, turned out to be a Backpacker type hostel situation but it was our best night in the South Island. Great pizza restaurant out the back, room was clean, everything was on hand so have no hesitation in recommending.
