Tiglkåk is situated in Åndalsnes, 32 km from The Romsdalsfjord, and has a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Built in 1947, the property is within 38 km of Kylling Bridge and Vermafossen waterfall. The hostel features family rooms.

The motto of this property is "Stay Weird" like it says in several places around the house. The place is weird but in a good way. Clean and hospitable, this hostel is an old house decorated in a rather original manner right in Åndalsnes town centre.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Lovely hotel, loved my room. Great location, only a few minutes walk to the Gondolas, or the trail path for Rampestreken if you are feeling a bit more energetic. Dinner in the La Vue restaurant was very good and breakfast selection was great. Would recommend a stop in the coffee shop Sodahlhuset, which is just around the corner from the hotel.

The host was really friendly. She made us cookies and coffee. Because of the cold weather, we were upgraded to an inside room. Loved the quirky vibe of the place. Great location in the town.

Booked a private room thru the hostel listing.. which is actually an adjoining apartment to the hostel. Peaceful, quiet, clean and comfortable. Bonus was free washing machine and dryer.

Great location a short walk into the town centre. I don’t get chance to use the kitchen facilities but would’ve been lovely to cook a meal

The sauna and the washing machine are really useful. We really liked the outside look of the hostel - the red houses and the grass roof. The toilets and showers were very nice and clean. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed, but it was a bit small for more than 4 people.
