Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location with lake and elephant drinking from the lake and other smaller wildlife. Amazing dinner buffet, best in Sri Lanka. A real gem for escapism and wildlife.

The property has an authentic feel and allows you to properly indulge into a safari lifestyle. The bed is very comfortable and the showers are perfect for a hot day. The staff are incredible and will do their best to make you feel safe and the most comfortable you can be. They were all very caring to your needs and will ensure you have the best time. Honestly the best place I’ve stayed at my entire life with some of the greatest people I’ve met in my entire life.

This is an incredible place to stay, especially if you want to support nature and the local environment. Our late afternoon walks with our host and guide Nishanthe were a highlight of our trip - we learned so much. He is fearless and a wealth of information. But the whole staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel safe and comfortable. We loved the nightly ritual of smoking our room (it smelled so good) for bugs before putting the mosquito netting down. Dinners were excellent too. We loved our stay. Perfect for kids too.

Everything! It was the most extraordinary stay of our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Tribe Yala went completely above and beyond in every way - it was a honeymoon-worthy experience! The whole team were unbelievably generous, kind and helpful - we were so well looked after and felt completely safe at all times, which was particularly appreciated as we were in the middle of the national park!

Our experience was absolutely excellent in every aspect! The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and the kindness and service of the staff were outstanding. Our ranger for the safaris was knowledgeable and made our excursions unforgettable. The security on site ensured we felt safe at all times. The manager was attentive and accommodating. In summary, everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Wow! Honestly could not recommend this stay when staying in Yala. The staff are absolutely amazing and made the trip so much more enjoyable and stress free. I loved my time here so much and we extended our stay. The tent was immaculate and a lot nicer than most hostels we have stayed in. It was so close to the national park yet so very secure. The camp site itself is lovely. I really really couldn’t recommend it enough. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful resort with a great location that blended well with the natural surroundings. Elephants, monkeys and wild boar roam the property which is magical, you can also see crocodile in the lake. Staff escort you at night time for safety. The a la carte restaurant was good, with very friendly staff. The pool team were also kind and attentive - great wine available. We took a morning safari which was easily organised and managed well although fairly expensive compared to external operators.
