Really chill atmosphere. Only room for 6 people, which is just perfect; not too much traffic and chaos, but easy to meet people. The location is fine, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, wifi worked, squirrels run around and the terrace is sunny. Breakfast was good! Cool psychedelic rug in the dorm!

Loved the internet speed - I was able to work without any interruptions. Great breakfast, room was cool enough to sleep and didn't get hot. They also had a water tank to fill in your bottles. Location is great as it's close to the restaurants and hiking points. I loved my stay here

Hive Ella was a perfect intimate social hostel right in the heart of Ella, but far enough off the main street that you still feel like you’re in nature. Gihan the manager does an incredible job at creating a social environment by organising family dinners, cooking classes, bon fires, or dinners together in town! He was always helping everyone organise activities for the day by arranging shared tuk tuks or scootys. The hostel is very clean, and the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast served with fruit was delicious! The food cooked by the staff for family dinners (and the guests) was incredibly flavourful. The private room was spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend Hive Ella!

Waking up and cooking to this view was incredible! The host Ajith was amazing. He offered us to drive us around in his Jeep for free and also doing a one day tour for little money. He guided us throw the whole day and showed us wonderful places. In the morning we hiked up the Little adam‘s peak and watched the sunrise. After that we visited the nine arch bridge and breathtaking water falls. Above all we saw wild elephants - we still can’t belive that happened.
