The owner is so lovely and has so much information about everything, she has great English and helped with my Gibbons experience, my Loas SIM card and my slow boat ticket, breakfast and coffee was also yummy. It’s a very basic hostel but the service is impeccable.

The lady running the hostel was incredibly helpful and extremely friendly. It is a great stop before the gibbon experience and will rent out high quality equipment for it. One of the nicest stays in South east Asia.

We stayed here before the Gibbon Experience and returned again after. Great location near the slow boat pier and the city center, and friendly staff. The rooms on the side of the road are bigger and nicer in terms of appearance, but the rooms on the riverside are more quiet away from the street noise, and you get a nice patio with view over the river.

It is a nice hostel I used for one night to go to the slow boat. It was clean, many details well thought out for go through backpackers. Could book my boat ticket and the transfer to the boat was organized. I also was lucky with the room mates. Very considerate backpackers.

Great location in huay xai, right next to the gibbon experience office and on the main strip. Really helpful staff who booked our slow boat ticket for us (pick up from the hostel as well). Free water refills. Nice big room and private bathroom and good WiFi. Lovely view of the mekong at the back of the hostel.

Easy stop just across the border in Laos. We were headed to the Shompoo slow boat the next day and this place worked great for a quick/cheap layover. The owner is very friendly and likes to chat. FYI, SUPER easy Laos SIM card place right up the street at another hostel.
