Nice hostel. Nice room. The shared facilities are okay. About 2 kilometers walking from train station. Exchange and other facilities are at Tauke Khan street, around the corner. Booking does not give a house number of the hostel, but I assume it is 29. Adirbekova 29. It is just before the Tauke Khan street. Opposite the post-office. Anyway, you see a sign at your left hand, that this is the hostel NS Prestige. Normal European style toilets.

The location is somehow good, good connection with different places in the city. Near is a good place to drink kvas and eat somsa with locals in the evening. It is a crowded and vibrant place.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
When I saw people writing that this was the best hostel they’ve stayed in, it pined my curiosity!
Was truly lovely! Beautifully decorated, spacious and cozy. I stayed in a female dorm and my bed was up on a loft. There is AC and the bathrooms are shared between make and female dorms.
Large living room space, and a garden area.
Breakfast available for 1800 tenge.
This was the best hostel I have ever stayed in. everything was so functional and comfortable and extremely clean. but the absolute highlight is the staff! Despite the language barrier, they were all so wonderfully friendly, helpful and accommodating and made the stay special!
Really nice hostel, very comfortable, the owners are super nice! The hostel is very well decorated. Bathrooms and bedrooms are very clean and comfortable. The owners can cook you breakfast and lunch for a cheap price.
One of the best hostel I stayed. Staff and her boys are very friendly. Everyone speaks English very well. They treat me like a member of their family. I will visit there again. Nice location with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. All attractions are walking distance.
This hostel deserves more rating, yes maybe there is not atmosphere but that is because Shymkent is not touristic or attracting backpackers as Almaty. However the location and the facilities are amazing, and the staff helpful and nice. The hostel is huge with plenty space to seat or chill.
This hostel is the best I have ever seen and I have done a lot of them. Everything was perfect almost the standard of a hotel (bathroom, towels, etc)
Sparkling clean, huge common space to hangout, speaking English staff really helpful about how to commute , what to see and do in the city.
There is no kitchen but the food is so cheap around who would cook ? There are huge table to eat.
